ASEAN Special Envoy to Visit Myanmar At the End of the Month

PHNOM PENH: The Cambodian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn, will pay an official state visit to Myanmar from 20-23 March 2022 as the ASEAN Special Envoy. This was confirmed by the Deputy Prime Minister during the signing of the exchange of letters and related documents on Japan's grant financing on Wednesday, 2 March.

Speaking at a press conference after the ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting on the afternoon of 17 February, DPM Prak Sokhonn said that during his visit to Myanmar in March, he will meet with both members of the Myanmar military government and members of the opposition. He added that during the visit, he will also attend the distribution of ASEAN humanitarian donations to a hospital in Myanmar.
